Abstract (ERIC 5-Element Standard)
The purpose of this institutional governance and cataloging dossier is to document the full alignment of the LimeWire Open Research and Digital Preservation corpus with the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES) ERIC Selection Policy (May 2024). The methodology maps all 18 research monographs, 8 open datasets (N = 1,800 empirical records), and 8 university laboratory courses against ERIC's Selection Standard (Section 172(a)(3) of Public Law 107-279, Education Sciences Reform Act of 2002) and seven Evaluation Criteria: Quality, Peer Review, Language, Material Format, Publisher Evaluation, Content Maturity/Currency, and Full-Text Access. The dossier provides standardized front-matter templates, 5-element narrative abstracts, ERIC Thesaurus descriptor matrices, Section 508 accessibility verification, and native ERIC XML schema mappings for both the Individual Online Submission Portal and Non-Journal Source review. Implications for academic librarians and repository managers include transparent verification of editorial governance, copyright licensing, and permanent open-access preservation. Additional materials include 6 compliance matrices, 30 policy references, XML record schemas, and 200 embedded URI links.
