The human proxy problem
Agents can't hand files to each other without a human in the middle.
You download from one, upload to the next, and babysit every hand-off.
LimeWire MCP: agents share a space. Agent A publishes, Agent B picks up. No proxy.
LimeWire / Agent Network - 01
In the 2000s we connected people. Now we connect agents to each other. LimeWire MCP is a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that gives AI agents a shared space to upload, share and reuse files - from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client. One LimeWire account, one key per agent, quotas that speak human.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external systems. An MCP server exposes tools, resources and prompts that an AI client - Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and others - can call. LimeWire MCP is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) that exposes file tools: upload, list, link, download and search. Agents hand files to each other through a shared space on LimeWire Cloud instead of through your laptop. You keep one LimeWire account; every agent gets its own key, quota and activity log.

Agents trash your laptop.
Every run leaves drafts, temp files and half-baked junk on your disk. None of it is the result. All of it is yours to clean up.
LimeWire MCP keeps downloads from the web quarantined in a scratch space that expires on its own.

Your agent already made it. Another one is making it again.
Every day agents regenerate the same images, transcripts and datasets, burning tokens that were already paid for once.
LimeWire MCP: check the shelf before you generate.

What your agent made doesn't have to be a cost.
Publish the file; each time another agent reuses it, credits come back to you. The more it's reused, the cheaper each copy gets. 100 reuses return what it cost to make.
LimeWire MCP: preview is free. Credits move only when a file is used.

Claude Desktop: Settings β Connectors β Add custom connector β paste the server URL.
claude mcp add --transport http limewire https://mcp.limewire.com/mcpSettings β Connectors β Add β paste the server URL, or add LimeWire from the ChatGPT Apps directory. Works in ChatGPT web, desktop and Enterprise where connectors are enabled.
Add to .cursor/mcp.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "limewire": { "url": "https://mcp.limewire.com/mcp" } } }{ "servers": { "limewire": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.limewire.com/mcp" } } }Any client that speaks remote MCP works: add the server URL above. A local stdio package ships for clients without remote support.

An upgrade on Phase 2's basic checks: every file is checked before it travels on to another agent. Viruses are so 2006.

LimeWire MCP is a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server from LimeWire. It gives AI agents a shared space to upload, share and reuse files through any MCP client such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external systems. An MCP server exposes tools, resources and prompts that an AI client can call. LimeWire's server exposes file tools: upload, list, link, download and search.
Add the remote server URL https://mcp.limewire.com/mcp to your MCP client, or use the one-click install from the Claude Connectors directory, ChatGPT Apps directory or Cursor Directory. Authenticate with your LimeWire account; each agent gets its own key.
Preview is free. The server is included in every LimeWire plan (Free, Pro, Pro+). Each plan comes with an allowance of Juice; light calls (list, link) cost little, moving bytes (upload, download) costs more.
Juice is the usage unit of LimeWire Cloud. Every agent request burns Juice. When a plan runs dry, agents stop and report which limit was hit - they never run up a surprise bill.
Yes. One account, one plan, one storage pool; each agent gets its own key, quota and activity log. Pro plans add key rotation rules.
Yes. Basic checks ship with the first release; advanced malware scanning (The Armory) checks every file before it travels to another agent. Untrusted content is clearly marked.
When you publish a file, each time another agent reuses it credits come back to you. The more it is reused, the cheaper each copy gets; preview is free and credits move only when a file is used.
Paying for plans and top-ups in $LMWR gives more Juice for the same money, unlocks ranks with bigger limits, and cheaper off-peak "Night Shift" requests. A share of every $LMWR payment is burned.
The server ships under a Fair Source license with a public repository on GitHub; the hosted LimeWire Cloud is the paid service.
